Venice, Italy

Venice, Italy is a great place to visit. I have gone to Venice so many times. I feel that it is a place that so many people should visit. It is a place that many tourists visit. The last time I went to Venice was two years ago. It was my favorite vacation. I went with my parents, sisters, and sister's fiance. It was my sister's fiances first time to ever travel to Europe. He was amazed by the beauty and wonders that Venice has to offer.

Right when we landed, we had to take a boat to reach Venice because Venice is built on small islands on the water. The weather was extremely hot. There were so many Americans and I felt right at home. The boat ride was a great adventure because we saw so many buildings and houses on water. There were also gondolas passing by our boat.

When the boat ride was over, we were amazed by the beautiful hotels and scenery. Our hotel that we stayed at was gorgeous. I remember the chandeliers right when we walked in the hallway. The rooms each had a beautiful balcony. It was luxury. Right after we relaxed in our rooms, we went sight seeing. My favorite place that we visited was definitely San Marco Square. There were so many birds flying around. I remember being scared that a bird would fly on my head. It almost happened. I even gave the birds some bread.

The most famous places to go in Venice are: Canal Grande, Basilica di San Marco, the island of Murano, and Ponte dei Sospiri. In addition to the attractions, there are so many shops. I remember going to a souvenir shop to buy a watch that said Murano on it. It seemed to me that most of the shops sold the same things. I recommend browsing each shop before buying it so that you do not buy a more expensive product.
We took a trip to the island of Murano where we saw the beautiful art of glass. We saw the way the workers transformed a piece of glass in beautiful piece of art such as chandeliers, vases, etc. I recommend to visit the island of Murano and buy one of these art pieces. In addition, I highly encourage any family to take a tour to Venice because there is no other city like this in the world.
